Mr. Snehal Vakilna an advocate who could be designated as a pioneer in the field of Cyber crime and Cyber laws in Surat as well as South Gujarat, who is working in the field of cyber crime and cyber laws since more then two decades. MR.SNEHAL HEMANTKUMAR VAKILNA is giving his services as an advocate in Revenue, Stamp duty, Taxation matters along with his involvement in Cyber Crime matters since more than 11 years. He was recognized as the youngest and the FIRST CYBER LAWYER OF SURAT in the Book “PATH PRADARSHIT PRATIMA” PUBLISHED UNDER THE DIRECTION OF MR. NARENDRA MODI (then C.M of Gujarat) 2007-2008. He has Always Been present in the headlines of Various Newspapers with respect to his cases. One of his columns “Fight against Cyber Crimes” was very well appraised by the readers in 2012-2014.
Presently along with his cases he is actively assisting Surat Crime Branch and Various Police departments in Surat, Navsari, Bharuch, Valsad etc. He is in the Panel of Cyber Crime Expert in Surat Inspector General of Police Department. He had contributed and guided Police department in Landmark cases like Nigerian Fraud case, Income tax department Fraud Case, Eva phone case, SBI ATM fraud case wherein criminals were Arrested in couple of days, Mobile Balance Financial Fraud, School Girls Face book Racket case, College Principal Identity theft case, Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) Blast case due to technical negligence, First Pornographic Website case ever registered in Gujarat (www.suratescort.in) matter etc. Apart from this He had given his contribution in various different facebook, what’s app and various financial cases. Mr.Vakilna has always remained in the centre in various television shows/interviews on the basis of his cases and knowledge. He has been honoured as Chief Guest in Several Social Events and Book Launch. Similarly he has conducted Cyber Crime Awareness Programs on various Radio Channels.
He had given numerous cyber crime awareness programs in order to aware Women, Student and Various other Segments of Society. Similarly, he had given training to various officials in Banking Sector.
His paper with regards “POWER OF POLICE” UNDER INDIAN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ACT amongst whole of Gujarat was selected and read in INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE AND WAS PART OF INTERNATIONAL JOUNRAL ON TECHNOLOGY AND MANAGEMENT.
In July 2016 he was honoured by Inspector General of Police Surat Range for Training 50 police Officers from all over South Gujarat.
His book “ WAR FORCE” which could be designated as first book on fight against cyber crimes in Surat as well as South Gujarat was launched by IGP sir Dr. Shamsher Singh ( Surat Range) and Mr Pankaj. Kapdia (Social worker) on 9 Oct 2016 at Cross Word which directed various security measures to be taken by Police Department for Eradication of Cyber Crimes in Surat.
On 20th Oct 2016, He was selected amongst the whole of Gujarat as the panellist as a Cyber Expert at “DSCI-Google Internet Safety Program for SMBs Surat” organised by Google, Data Security Council of India and GESIA alongwith Mr.Dahia(DCB,Surat Police) in The Gateway Hotel Surat .
He was duly honoured by Kerela as well as Tamil Nadu Police department where he brought Awarness in relation to cyber crimes through his book “ WARFORCE”. He also conducted a session in Kerela for Internet safety of Women at Casino group of Hotels in Kumarkom.
He played an Important role and was integral part of "CYBER SAFETY DAY" OF THE "CYBER SURAKSHA KAVACH" GUJARAT POLICE ALONG WITH MR. NIRLIPT RAI (SP SURAT IG RANGE), MR. DAXESH THAKAR, (VICE CHANCELLOR, VEER NARMAD SOUTH GUJARAT UNIVERSITY) DR. APURVA DESAI (H.O.D,COMPUTER SCIENCE AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT VEER NARMAD SOUTH GUJARAT UNIVERSITY)
ORGANISED BY INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE SURAT RANGE ( IG POLICE SURAT RANGE) IN COLLABORATION WITH VEER NARMAD SOUTH GUJARAT UNIVERSITY AND AURO UNVERSITY ON TUE 7TH FEB 2017 AT VNSGU CONVENTIONAL HALL .
On 7 th june 2017 and 8th June 2017 Under the direction of Add. Director General of Police (Gujarat) Dr. Shamsher Singh, Conducted 2 days Session to train the officers of various Rank from 5 districts consisting Surat Rural, Navsari, Tapi, Valsad and Ahwa Dang, Which was in relation to Forensic Science as Well as Cyber Forensic ,Cyber Law and Digital Evidence as well as Standard operating procedure for police investigation. Which was Conducted By Snehal Vakilna (Cyber Crime Lawyer, Expert And Investigator) And His Team of Cyber Experts in coordination with Mr.H.P.Sanghvi, (Deputy Director of Forensic Science, Gandhinagar) Mr.G.P.Darbar (FSLGandhinagarTeam), Mr.H.J.Trivedi (Scientific Officer, DFS Gandhinagar). Wherein, Mr.Snehal Vakilna Explained Various Technical and Legal issues in relation to Cyber Crimes and Information Technology Act, Issues in Relation to Digital Evidence as well as Crypto Currency. He discussed various Case Laws and the procedure to be followed by Police in relation to Digital Evidence. Wherein the Experts were greeted with Mementos by SudarshanSinh K Vala (Deputy Superintendent Of Police,HQ).
On 22nd September 2017, Mr. Snehal Vakilna and Team efficiently conducted Special Training Sessions for Bangladesh Police Officials as well as Gujarat Special Force on the Cyber Crime Investigation, Cyber Security, Cyber Forensic, Cyber Laws as well as Digital Evidence which was highly appreciated by all the delegates at Gujarat Forensic Science University, Gandhingar.
On 5t h and 6th October, INFORSECON 2017, an International Conference on Forensic Science and Cyber Security was organized at Gujarat Forensic Science University (GFSU), where Shri Snehal Vakilna presented two Papers “CLOSED CIRCUIT CAMERA (CCTV’S) AS A TOOL FOR VIOLATION OF PRIVACY ” and “FIGHT AGAINST CYBER CRIMES WITH AID OF INDIAN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ACT ”. This was the first time anyone had Presented Two Papers Simultaneously in such event.
On 13th November 2017, Shri Snehal Vakilna efficiently conducted Special Training Sessions for Maldives Police Judges and Police officers as well as Bangladesh Police Officials (second batch) on Cyber Crimes and Legal Issues and Cyber laws and Digital Evidence which were highly appreciated by all the delegates at Gujarat Forensic Science University, Gandhingar.
On 19th Feb 2018 Shri Snehal Vakilna again efficiently conducted Special Training Sessions for Myanmar Police Officials and 3rd Batch of Bangladesh Police Officials on Cyber laws and Information Technology Act, Crypto Currency and Digital Evidence which were highly appreciated by all the delegates at Gujarat Forensic Science University, Gandhingar.
